Description
Abril burgundy flamenco shawl, embroidered by hand
The Abril model in burgundy is pure flamenco costume. That deep, stately wine red has always looked right at the fair, with a more elegant, less common feel than classic red. It’s embroidered and latticed by hand, with silk borlón fringe, and like any handmade piece, no two are exactly alike.
Burgundy over the costume
It works beautifully over costumes in ecru, black, prints or earth tones, giving the outfit that stately touch burgundy carries by nature. If you want a shawl with colour but don’t want everyone’s red, burgundy is the safe choice. Though it’s made for flamenco, you can also wear it as a wrap over a winter party dress.
Hand-embroidered with silk borlón fringe
About 126 cm long, 50 cm wide, with 17 cm of silk borlón fringe. The embroidery, the lattice and the fringe are made by hand, one by one. That’s why there may be small differences in shade or pattern compared with the photo: it isn’t a flaw, it’s the mark of handcraft, and what makes your shawl unique. It has body and a lovely drape, the kind you appreciate by touch.
Frequently asked questions
Does burgundy go with any costume? It’s very easy: it works with black, ecru, printed and earth-toned costumes, and looks good both as a contrast and in a blend of reds.
It arrives creased, is that normal? Yes, those are packaging creases. Hang it and it smooths out under its own weight, or give it a very gentle iron and it’s perfect.
Why isn’t it identical to the photo? Being embroidered by hand, the shade of a thread or a detail may change slightly. That small variation is part of its character.
Does it also work for parties? Yes. It’s made for flamenco, but burgundy looks just as good as a wrap over an event dress. You’ll find more designs in flamenco shawls.
